Privacy policy

MyTCGValue is a free card price guide. You can use every part of this website without creating an account, and we don't ask for your name, email address or payment details. This policy explains the limited data involved in running the site.

What we collect

We don't run accounts, and we never ask for your name, email or payment details. There are no sign-up forms and no newsletter forms.

Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) records basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to run and secure the service and are kept for a limited period under the hosting provider's own policies.

Searches. When you search for a card, the search term is sent to our price service to find matching cards. We don't link searches to you.

Data stored on your device

The site stores a few small items in your browser's local storage to make it work the way you'd expect:

• whether you've dismissed the "get the app" bar, so it stays dismissed;
• the cards you've added to the card value calculator, so your list is still there next time;
• the currency you chose in the calculator;
• your cookie choice, if you were asked for one.

This data stays on your device. It isn't sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, what they search for, and which links (such as app store and eBay links) they click. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. It doesn't tell us who you are, and we don't use advertising or advertising-personalisation cookies.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Google's own use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy.

eBay affiliate links

Some links on this site, marked as affiliate links, go to eBay through the eBay Partner Network. If you follow one, eBay may set cookies and record your visit so that a purchase can be credited to us. That happens on eBay's site and is covered by eBay's privacy policy, not this one. We receive aggregate commission reports, not your personal details.

App store links

Links to the App Store and Google Play take you to those stores, which are covered by Apple's and Google's privacy policies.

Future changes

If we add advertising to the site, we'll update this policy before we do, and where the law requires consent, we'll ask for it.

Children

This site is a general-audience price guide and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

We don't hold your name or contact details, so there's normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Analytics data is held by Google; you can stop it being collected with the Cookie settings link or a browser extension that blocks analytics. If you have a question about your data, contact us through the app's support page.
