Pokémon 30th Celebration Set Guide: Release Date, Cards and Prices

The Pokémon Trading Card Game turned 30 in 2026, and 30th Celebration is the set made to mark it. This guide covers when it came out, what's in it, which cards are worth the most right now and how the set compares with Celebrations, the 25th anniversary set from 2021. Every price below comes from our nightly TCGplayer data, so the tables change as the market settles.

When Did the 30th Celebration Set Come Out?

30th Celebration was released on Sep 16, 2026, according to our set data, and it is listed under the set code 30C. It belongs to the Mega Evolution series and followed Pitch Black, the previous English expansion.

The main set is numbered out of 128, and cards with a number above that are secret rares. So far our list has 45 cards, including 10 secret rares, plus a separate Classic Collection subset covered further down. As explained above, the main list is not complete yet, so check the official card gallery for the full card list while our data catches up.

Release dates can differ by region and by product. The official expansion page is the place to confirm the date for the products you want.

30th Celebration Chase Cards

These are the most valuable cards in the set right now, by ungraded market price. Pikachu is the face of the anniversary, and Pikachu cards make up a large share of the list. Our Pikachu card prices page puts them next to every other Pikachu card.

Prices for a brand-new set move fast. The first copies to reach the market often sell for far more than the same cards a month later, once more packs are opened. For that reason we don't show a 30-day change for this set yet: the earliest listings would make every card look like it had crashed. The change column will appear once the set has a full, settled month of prices.

The most valuable card right now is Pikachu ex at about $59.74. Together, the top ten cards are worth about $219.49 at today's prices.

30th Celebration Classic Collection

Like Celebrations in 2021, 30th Celebration comes with a Classic Collection: reprints of famous cards from the game's history, keeping their original card numbers. In our data the subset currently lists 3 cards, so this table is short for now:

The most valuable Classic Collection card we track is Lugia at about $197.65. You can see the whole subset, as it fills in, on the 30th Celebration Classic Collection card list.

Classic Collection reprints are not the original cards. They are new printings with the anniversary design, so they are priced separately from the originals: a reprinted Base Set Charizard is a different card from a 1999 one, and it sells for a different price.

30th Celebration Products: ETB, Booster Bundle, Ultra-Premium Collection

The set is sold in several sealed products. We couldn't confirm each product's official contents for this guide, so rather than guess, we list only what our price data shows: the current market price of each product on TCGplayer. These are what the products are selling for now, not their retail prices. For contents and official prices, see the Pokémon TCG product gallery.

Elite Trainer Box

On TCGplayer, the Elite Trainer Box sells for about $114.09 right now. That is the current market price of the sealed product, not its retail price.

Booster Bundle

On TCGplayer, the Booster Bundle sells for about $71.52 right now. That is the current market price of the sealed product, not its retail price.

Ultra-Premium Collection

On TCGplayer, the Ultra-Premium Collection [Day] sells for about $547.37, and the Ultra-Premium Collection [Night] sells for about $583.58 right now. That is the current market price of the sealed product, not its retail price.

All the sealed products we track for the set are below, cheapest first, with their current market prices. Sealed cases and store displays are left out.

Is the 30th Celebration Set Worth Buying?

It depends on what you want from it. One way to frame it is to compare what the cards cost to buy one at a time with what the sealed products cost.

Buying one copy of every card in our list at today's market prices would cost about $242.79. Of that, the five most valuable cards account for about 81% of the total, which is typical of modern sets: most of the value sits in a handful of chase cards, and most cards in a pack are worth very little. Because our card list is incomplete, the real cost of the full set is higher than this figure.

If you want one particular card, buying that single is almost always cheaper and more certain than opening packs for it. If you enjoy opening packs, or want sealed product to keep, the products above are the way in, but nothing guarantees what you'll pull. These are market estimates that change daily. They aren't a forecast, and this isn't investment advice. To price the cards you've already pulled, use our Pokémon card value checker or scan them with the free Pokémon card scanner.

30th Celebration vs 25th Anniversary Celebrations (2021)

Celebrations was released on Oct 8, 2021 for the game's 25th anniversary, with its own Classic Collection subset. Here is how the two anniversary sets compare today, using the same measures for both:

Two things to keep in mind when reading it. First, Celebrations has had years for its market to settle, while 30th Celebration is still in its first weeks, and early prices tend to be high. Second, our 30th Celebration list is incomplete, so its totals will rise as missing cards are added. The comparison will become fairer over the coming months, and because the table is rebuilt every night, it will show that change as it happens.

Full Card List

We don't repeat every card here. The full, sortable card list with live prices for every card in the set is on our 30th Celebration set page. It is updated nightly with the rest of our data, including cards added as the import is completed. For the most valuable Pokémon cards from every set, see our most expensive Pokémon cards list.
